‘Dhanush suits psycho stories’

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,June 16 2009]

The audio launch of ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ saw Dhanush take the stage as a singer even as he and his wife Aishwarya Dhanush crooned on stage. Later, when Dhanush was asked for the secret of his success, and if his wife was the force behind it, Dhanush pointed to his fans and said they made him what he was. “And then, I owe it to my parents and brother,” he said, adding that Aishwarya came next.

But that was not all. The crowds at the University Hall, where the audio launch was on, saw a lighter moment when Dhanush asked brother Selva Raghavan why he always gave him only Psycho roles, like in ‘Pudhupettai’ or ‘Kadhal Kondein’. “I wonder why I’m not being given love stories like ‘7/G Rainbow Colony’,” said Dhanush, to which Selva Raghavan coolly remarked, “When I see you, I am inspired to do only psycho stories. Not romantics.”
